The board met at 3pm at the Grace Fellowship church. Present were Bob Reed, Charles Ray, Kevin Hunsicker, Frank Lasta and Joe Marszal. A quorum was established.
The board acted to recover the tuxedo loaned to lapsed member Eric Syzmanski and lend it to new member Curtis Joyner.
The board presumes that tuxedos have been provided to the following members: Rusty, Joe Marszal, Ron Snell, Royce and Al Aki.
A motion was approved to ask uniform manager Rich Marrotti to provide an inventory of uniform pieces on hand, a list of members who have been provided with tuxedos, and an accounting of recent uniform purchases. Rich will be requested to discontinue making any uniform purchases without board approval. The uniform policy is under review.
A motion was passed to begin paying $200/month facility use fee in advance to the Grace Fellowship church. This fee covers all weekly rehearsals.
The board noted that Randy is pursuing a nominating committee.
The board postponed discussion on the proposed new uniform.
The board requested Joe to ask the church the fee and availability for using the facility for the officer installation banquet. However, arrangements Randy has made are not rescinded.
A motion was passed to co-sponsor a ballroom afterglow with the Tampa chapter as they have invited us to do. Charles will followup and contact the Tampa chapter.
The board discussed the limited success that Kevin has had recovering music books from lapsed members. Kevin was advised to contact lapsed members again and state that a $75 fee would be requested if their book is not returned. We will consider to put a sticker to that effect in or on music books that are issued from now on.
Meeting adjourned,
Bob Reed,
Secretary
